About Pacific Growers

A family-owned greenhouse rooted in generations of growing, right here in Whatcom County.

How It All Started

Pacific Growers is built on generations of experience in the flower industry, with roots tracing back to the Netherlands where the family first began growing. After Dave and Annemiek married in the Netherlands, they moved to Washington State in the 1980s and began working in the greenhouse industry alongside family. In 1988, they purchased an old dairy farm on Markworth Road and started building what would become Pacific Growers. What began as a small operation has grown into a thriving greenhouse business — but the heart behind it has remained the same: family, quality, and care.

A True Family Operation

Today, Pacific Growers is run by the entire family. Alongside founders Dave Sr. and Miek, all six children — Kim, Kevin, Dustin, David, Barb, and Bensen — are actively involved in the day-to-day operations.

From planting and growing to preparing orders and deliveries, everyone plays a role in making sure each plant meets the highest standard. It’s this hands-on, family-driven approach that sets Pacific Growers apart.

Growing at Scale, Without Losing Our Touch

Pacific Growers operates across two neighboring locations with nearly 20 acres of greenhouse space. Each year, we grow more than 100,000 hanging baskets and over a million bedding plants and annuals.

We supply quality plants to retailers and garden centers across the Pacific Northwest — reaching as far south as California and as far north as Alaska.
